"The ISO 9000 family of standards represents an international consensus on good management practice.
Its primary aim is to give organizations guidelines on what constitutes an effective quality management system, which in turn can serve as a framework for continuous improvement."
The family also includes two quality assurance models ISO 9001 and ISO 9002. ISO 9001 is the most complete certification from ISO because it covers marketing, materials, design, and manufacturing process (ISO 9002 only covers the production process). The organization complies with so called '20 requirements' get the ISO 9001 standard.
The ISO 9001 registration for quality management on security printing was awarded to KOMSCO in March 2000 after successful completion on an intensive audit conducted by KSA-QA. This was the result from the previous the experience of obtaing the ISO 9002 for "The manufacture of coin, decoration, and medalion" in 1998. KOMSCO also received, for Puyo paper mill, the coveted ISO 9001 Certification. The certification was obtained in November 1998 with KSP conducting the certification process.
ISO 9000 family of standards integrated into ISO9001:2000 in november 2001 for more efficient operation of ISO Quality Management System, and we has completed a switch in December 2002.
The Certification on each sector valid for 3 years : Monetary Plant, Paper Plant, ID Plant, Marketing Office (2007. 9. 31 ~ 2010. 9. 30).

Now, KOMSCO has established a philoshophy of continued quality improvement and an internationally recognized quality control system that could meet our customer's expectation.
